Aliachia tabasamu bashasha kamwe hakuamini kama kweli amefanikiwa kuliona pango hilo, alilitafuta sana ni baada tu kuwakimbia Askari wale wa Chifu Gato, sasa juhudi zake zinazaa matunda, pasipo kutarajia anajikuta ameliona pango lile. Hakika ikawa furaha upande wake, kiu yake sasa ikawa ni kutaka kumuona Fatma ambaye mara ya mwisho alimuacha akiwa na njaa kali.
Kabla hajaingia ndani ya lile pango, alitazama kwanza kila upande. Alipo jihakikishia usalama ndipo akaingia huku akimuita kwa sauti ya chini iliyo jaa shauku.

Hakukata tamaa aliendelea kumuita huku akizama ndani zaidi ya pango lile, lakini mwishowe akagundua kwamba Fatma hayupo mule ndani. Hatimaye akajua, haraka sana akawahamasisha wenzake wamfuate, aliongoza njia walionekana kukimbia mbio za kasi mithili ya Nungunungu, nia yake ilikuwa ni kumkamata Igwene na pia kumpata Sarai kisha kurejea nao kwenye Ngome. Wakati Bullah na wenzake wakimfauata Igwene, kijana huyo naye aliketi chini huku akiendelea kulia kwa uchungu, aliwaza wapi atakapo mpata Fatma ambaye yeye alimfahamu kwa jina Sarai, jina ambalo binti yule alipewa na Chifu Gato.
Kilio chake mwisho kilikoma, ni baada kuhisi mwili ukimsisimka. Dalili hiyo ilimshtua sana akahisi kuna kitu kisicho cha kawaida kina mnyemelea. Upesi alisimama akatazama huku na kule,, ndivyo hali ile ilivyo zidi kuongezeka mwilini mwake. Dhumuni lake lilokuwa moja tu ambalo ni kutoweka naye kama walivyo kubaliana hapo awali. Hatua kadhaa alizo piga kutoka pale lilipo pango, ghafla akasikia kishindo kikubwa nyuma yake. Akageuka kutazama nyuma, hapo alipata kuona kiumbe kisicho eleweka kuwa ni kiumbe cha aina gani kikiishia ndani ya lile pango.
“Mmh! Ni nini kile?” Alijiuliza ndani ya nafsi yake Igwene, alitamani kikiona usoni kiumbe kile ili atambue ni kiumbe cha aina gani, si hivyo tu bali alihisi kwamba huenda pango lile ndiyo makazi ya kiumbe kile,
“Au ndiye yule ndege wa ajabu aliye semwa sana miaka kwa miaka?” Igwene aliongeza kuwaza.
“Hebu ngoja nijifiche hapa, yani leo mpaka nijue ukweli. Lazima nikione kiumbe hiki” Alikata kauli, akaona heri ajifiche, kiu yake ni kutaka kuona kiumbe kile kilicho ingia pangoni. Kwa miaka mingi iliyo pita tangu akingali mdogo amekuwa akisikia hadithi kadha wa kadha kuhusu ndege wa ajabu inavyo semekana ndege huyo karne kwa karne.
Mithili ya maji ya mtungini ndivyo Igwene alivyo tulia kwenye kichaka kile ambacho kilimficha vizuri, macho yake akayaelekezea kule pangoni alionekana kuwa makini haswa. “Nyamanza kimya mbwa wewe!” Kabla Askari yule hajasema alicho taka kusema, ghafla Bullah akadakia na kisha kumwambia maneno hayo kwa jazba sanjari na kuchomoa kisu kwenye kara.
“Sikiliza! Nimesha pinda mpaka muda huu! Naweza kukutoa utumbo sasa hivi endapo kama utaendelea kuwa mbishi” Aliongeza kusema Bullah huku akimtishia kisu Askari mwenzake. Songombingo hilo lote ambalo lilikuwa likiendelea, kijana Igwene alikuwa akilishuhudia pale kichakani, balaa lingine hilo upande wake. Utulivu zaidi ulichukua nafasi kwani Askari hao wanamtafuta yeye, hivyo endapo kama watajua yuko mahala hapo, basi hawato ingia pangoni bali watakula naye sahani moja. Na wakati Igwene yupo mahala hapo akiuendeleza utulivu, punde akahisi ubaridi kwenye mguu wake, alipo shusha macho kutazama sehemu hiyo akapata kuona nyoka mkubwa akimtambaa pole pole kuelekea kwenye nyeti zake.

The payout destroyed his family; he is reported to have chased away his wife and two sons who now live in Mwea.
The elderly man then went on to splash his money in just three months. With nowhere to go, a relative has accommodated him in his Karia village home.
When he received his windfall, Kaminja lived the life of the millionaire that he was. He moved to a posh hotel in Kerugoya town and rented a room at Sh3,000 a day. He also bought himself a car which he could not even drive, and ensured that it was assigned the parking slot meant for the hotel owner.
But when he ran out of cash — part of it was looted by friends who came out of the blue — tragedy struck. The man who had never driven a vehicle in his lifetime is reported to have rushed to the parking bay and ignited his car, accelerated to full throttle and crashed it into a concrete wall, sustaining serious injuries and wrecking the vehicle. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital which discharged him even before he recovered fully after realizing that he could not afford to foot the medical bill.
Today, the former millionaire hops from relative to relative seeking temporary overnight accommodation at Karia village, hoping that one day he will become a millionaire again. He still claims the National Irrigation Board owes him a staggering Sh64 million for the land.
This is because some con artists, on learning that he had money, lied to him that they were land valuers and would ensure that he was paid the money as his Sh7 million compensation was “too low”.

It is said that it is better to learn from the mistakes of others. Well, in this case, the following story provides one of the greatest lessons in life. In 2013, this man was 7 million shillings rich. By 2018, he didn’t have a place to sleep! How could things go so wrong? Armed with the fake valuation documents, Kaminja consoles himself that one day he will receive a huge compensation, though he has been challenged to produce the valuation formula used to arrive at the soaring figures without avail.
His is an experience that has befallen scores who after receiving unexpected windfall have plunged into reckless lifestyles that end in misery and tears. Some of the beneficiaries of the dam acquisition payout married new wives, bought cars they could not drive, dressed flashily and had their lifestyles changed. The billions of shillings attracted prostitutes and con men who used all their tricks to milk the money out of the beneficiaries due to their high levels of illiteracy.
Some beneficiaries were reported to have eloped with people’s wives to Mombasa and have never come back.
Bar and lodging owners in Kianyaga, Kutus, Kerugoya, Embu and Murang’a got a big share of the billions since some beneficiaries eventually ended up in these joints.
“They would come to my bar in groups of two or three, order all patrons out and ask me to count the bills incurred by those ordered out, then ask me to close the premises and ensure it was all theirs, said Nancy Muthoni, a bar attendant in Kutus town. Ms Muthoni said she has never in her life seen such lavish spending.
Others are said to have committed suicide or run mad after sinking back into abject poverty. The cars they bought are either grounded with major mechanical problems or were disposed off at throw-away prices to enable their owners make ends meet while their families got disintegrated.

Now that the Mondragons have lost their fortune to Daniela and are now poor, they are finding ways to make their lives go back to normal. Cassie continues studying at Maxwell. However, due to Daniela and Marga filing a petition to disapprove Cassie’s scholarship at Maxwell International, she now studies at Maxwell Integrated School, a school for the less fortunate in which only scholars are enrolled. With this, Marga regains her role as the queen of Maxwell. This made other students starting to turn their backs against Marga.
Romina meanwhile, successfuly received a job at SikaTuna. A company which is far successful than Camila. Daniela is having hardships as problems at Camila started happening. At their apartment unit, Cassie asked her mother on how to cook sardines, so that she can sell them for money. Cassie visits Leon’s jar shop, asking if they can make glass containers for her sardines. After telling her to stay and wait for her order. Leon had his attention at both Cassie and Romina. While on her stay at Maxwell Integrated School, Cassie experienced hardships as her money earned on selling sardines was stolen and also her smartphone that almost got purchased at a very low price. Leon told Cassie to not allow them to do it again because they will repeat and repeat their wrongdoings.
After school, Cassie, Mikoy and Roxanne tracked down the culprit who is responsible and they found out that their classmate, Gwen was the thief. Mikoy talked to her and said “I’m also poor but it never came to my mind to steal anything.” and then Gwen’s grandmother pleaded on the group that they will return the money she stole, the reason behind it is that her father was very ill and their finances are so scarce. Cassie told Gwen to keep it and in order to finance it back was to help her selling sardines on school. Meanwhile, Mang Kulas wants to find the person responsible for Jude’s death and he found out it’s one of Hector and Alvin’s minions. And he made a plan with his wife, Myrna to find the suspect which leads to his abduction but escapes the night after. Daniela and Romina guests on Miss Hazel’s show Usapang Puhunan, they had a face to face cook-off challenge. Daniela and sabotaged Romina’s food. However, they were caught by Leon and informed Romina to make a plan to desalinate her food. In the end, Romina wins.
Later on, Daniela was arrested for the causing the accident of Cassie and Kristoff. However, she was “kidnapped” by Hector just to have her a new life with him. In which she disagrees since she would leave everything behind, including Camila Sardines, and Marga. Daniela, never wanted to leave Marga, she then went out with Hector to find her daughter. As Marga tried to convince her mother to come home, she receives a note from a little girl that was written by Mikoy that “They`re here”. As Daniela ran away, she was caught again by Hector. Daniela, refusing to come with Hector, Calls for help after she was injured by him. At the hospital, she revealed to Carlos and Romina that she was pregnant.
Later on, it was revealed that Daniela was using her pregnancy in order to frame Romina for her kidnapping. Cassie and Kristoff were forced to be separated for a while after they were reported to their counselors about Trina bullying Cassie. Hector, on the other hand, was enraged upon learning that Daniela is pregnant. However, she and Marga were now jealous upon learning that Carlos filed an annulment for Daniela. Mang Kulas was very unhappy about Carlos’ decision.
Alvin is now incarcerated, Romina is now building her own company, she asked her former coworker at Sikatuna if they want to rent the warehouse, they respond “OK, we love to rent the warehouse and congratulations for your new endeavor”. Marga threw a house party in their mansion and invited her friends to lighten up their lives for a while. Daniela however, was not happy about Marga’s house party. Romina loaned money for her new company, while they are celebrating, Hector and Alvin’s henchmen trespassed on the property and planted IED’s (improvised explosive devices) and dynamites. After several minutes, the warehouse was caught on fire, they evacuated immediately except for Romina, who was saved by Leon but suffers injuries and 1st degree burns.
In the middle of the house party, Cassie, Mikoy, Fatima, Leslie Joy (LJ) and Roxanne arrived. Cassie asked Manang Esther if she saw Kristoff, she replied “I don’t know but I’m going to find him just to be sure”. Trina told Cassie that Marga and Kristoff was inside of the room talking privately. With her own eyes, Cassie saw Marga’s arm was intertwined with Kristoff’s, she decided to leave the party early. On their way home, Kristoff called Cassie because he need a talk about the incident but she declined because of Roxanne’s command. Afterwards, Neil called her niece and addressed what happened on Romina. After several minutes, they arrived and Cassie hugged her mother. Mikoy remained at the party, he confirmed to Marga that he is the one who wrote the note earlier. Marga was shocked with disbelief. Then, Daniela arrived and accused Mikoy of blackmailing, afterwards, Carlos arrived and defended Mikoy.
On school, Cassie interrogates Kristoff on what happened on the house party. Marga attempts to stop him from reconciling with Cassie. Romina and Neil looked at the damage of their destroyed warehouse, with Romina promising she will keep fighting. Cassie and Kristoff met again outside of the school in order to reconcile and secretly remain together as a couple. Daniela later met with an investor, telling him to stop his investment on Romina’s company. He later revealed that Carlos took all of Daniela`s money for helping Romina and her company. Daniela trespasses the currently-repairing factory of Romina`s warehouse and urges her to return her money, instead, Romina gave her a bank receipt. Daniela, however, wanted her money, in cash. Daniela meets with Romina outside of Camila. Romina walks out of a truck, and towards Daniela and Savannah. Daniela, again, asks for her money. Romina opens the truck, only to reveal a lot of sacks containing coins, in which Romina tells her “happy counting, dear”. Romina later walks away, Daniela was about to go after Romina until Daniela later pretends that she feels a pain in her belly.
The Maxwell Ball begins. Marga asked Kristoff if she is beautiful. However, Cassie walks in and caught Kristoff`s attention. Marga criticizes that Cassie`s dress is cheap, but Cassie fought back by comparing Marga`s personality to her “cheap dress”, in which she said she is “describing” her. A fire suddenly broke out and the others escaped, however, Cassie was left behind. She was saved by Kristoff. And Marga bitterly looks at Kristoff checking if Cassie is alright.
With Maxwell Integrated School burnt down, Marga is finally happy now that Cassie no longer studies at Maxwell. However, her celebration was cut short after hearing at Maxwell International School must share their class with the scholars. Marga and Daniela confronts Cassie about this, Daniela accuses Cassie from ruining Marga`s life even more. And Romina arrives at the school just as she saw Daniela hurting Cassie. The next day , an Integrated staff called Cassie and told her that their classes are resumed. Afterwards, Marga happily expressed that Cassie is gone but Maureen repiled, What are they doing here?. Marga was furious when she saw Cassie and critize the Integrated principal that the scholars are not deserving in their place. The principal called her out about the remarks she gave and told her that one of their core values is compassion. Gino talked to his brother, Carlos about the state of marriage between his brother and Daniela. Myrna saw Jessa and invited her to eat but suddenly Jessa vomits. Back to the school, firefighters came and told them that they are investigating about the incident, Marga “present” on the team and told the authorities that Cassie started the fire. Cassie said “You are the only one believing in that story”. Before the class starts, as Student president, Marga commanded the Integrated students to segregate the International (on the front) and Integrated (on the back). Some students don’t follow her so she vandalize one of the armchairs.
Cassie, Kristoff and Mikoy investigated the incident after school but their investigation was busted by the school authorities cause it’s happen at night. Romina and Bernand interrogate the two about that and they decided to ground their communication and forcibly separate them. Daniela planned an emergency meeting about the incident but afterwards Cassie arrived with Kristoff and the police officers. The principal takes consideration about their side and won. Romina held an event to launch her own product and it succeed. Back to school, after class, Cassie was abused by Daniela. Then, Romina slapped her. Jessa take a pregnancy test and resulted positive. Afterwards, Myrna saw it. Romina thanked on their successful launch, meanwhile, Daniela and Carlos had a heated argument on their filing for annulment. Daniela rushed into the police station. Afterwards, Cassie arrived and slapped by Marga.
Marga now blaming Cassie again for what happened on her immediate family that shatter slowly. Daniela signed a deal with Mr. Dimagiba for the “betterment” of the company but she didn’t read carefully that the deal is the company’s ownership will be transferred to Romina.

Bernard was thinking if Leon was trustworthy enough for being Romina’s partner. Alvin escapes from a police truck. Meanwhile, Romina was welcomed in Camila’s while Daniela suffered a miscarriage and Hector rushed her on the hospital but it’s too late. Mikoy asked Gino if whetre did Marga now that they are not living in the mansion. Hector decided to bury Daniela’s unborn child. Mikoy almost saw Marga in their new home. Arrived at school with Nadya, Maureen and Nica on the grounds waiting for her. Daniela made a bitter look on the landlord of their apartment complex, Madam Rosita. Daniela had problems on dealing with her neighbors. While Romina talked to Carlos about it. On the other hand, Romina starts to think if Leon is trustworthy enough . Lastly, to finish Romina, Daniela planned to bump her car on drag Romina’s car into a tall tree. She was later saved by Leon and bring her to hospital. Leon finding evidences about the incident and he saw Savannah.
Alvin was kidnapped because of spilling the truth about Romina’s rape case. Neil and Jepoy follow Savannah’s car to ensure their doubts. Romina interrogate Alvin about spilling her rape case and bringing her a black rose. Alvin remained silent.
Myrna and Kulas goes to a person who knew Jessa very well and Kulas asked if she saw Jessa, that person said that she didn’t saw Jessa. That person added that she was once an entertainer in Japan but didn’t came back again because she met a woman which is Myrna, they had s*x. Jenna, the daughter of Madam Rosita faced her consequences because of her actions against Marga. Romina started to doubt about Robert’s involvent in her case and decided to take DNA test. Marga fainted due to exhaustion. News told that there’s an helicopter crash survivor. Daniela told Rosita to pull a piece of Romina’s head for DNA sample.
Leon found the “missing” crash survivor but the person is Robert’s co-worker in the fishing vessel which abducted him. He asked questions in Hokkein if he knew Robert and answered, yes.
Romina and Daniela squared off in hospital for finding Robert. It later turns out, ROBERT IS BACK!!! Robert was alive all along but he was abused inside of the Chinese fishing vessel and the person who spared his life when he was shot on the shoulder during the escape.
Cassie and Marga unusually mends for a common goal: to knew if Robert survived the crash, but she [Marga] was hiding her knowledge about Robert’s circumstances . However, Romina and Daniela didn’t, as they rush to be the first to rescue Robert.
While in the hospital, Leon told the truth into Romina that Robert is alive!
Daniela and Romina chasing each other to found Robert. Meanwhile, Jessa called Myrna and had a lunch out together.

Marga still criticize Romina and Leon’s relationship as business partners. Robert found out truth that Daniela has collaborated with Hector to cover their crimes committed. Daniela cussed Hector on the crimes committed by him but he [Hectors] laughly saying ” I list down of your crimes here”. Roxanne is now collaborating with Leon on finding the long lost truth. Hector tasted the feeling of hell when he was knocked out by Robert.
Jessa was buried 6 feet below the ground by Daniela and Hector. It proves that she died on childbirth. Alvin confirmed to Romina that the culprit on her rape case is Robert.
The golden is just happened and Romina found out the truth that the assailant is her husband, Robert Mondragon. Daniela and Romina exchanged heated arguments at the wedding scene. Afterwards, Romina slapped and humiliate Robert in front of many people.
New Years Eve… Marga realizes that her baby brother Carlitos was the son of Kulas and Jessa… And because of this, she decided to stay away from Daniela for hiding too many secrets from her. In the said party, Romina realizes that there was a bomb planted by Hector in the disguise of a cake. While Romina managed to evacuate everyone, Jepoy dies of bombing as he sacrificed himself to move the cake far away for Romina and Cassie to be safe. Before the bomb exploded, Carlos shot Eva during their confrontation.
Later, Carlos is shot dead by Hector’s goons during a confrontation outside Hector’s hideout, Carlos made his dying wish to Romina to take care of Marga.
Marga, blaming Romina and Cassie for the death of Carlos, cut ties with her once again. Later, Romina, Neil, and Cassie were under pursuit by Hector. During the chase, The Mondragons` car crashed and suddenly exploded. Romina and Neil survived. Cassie, however, didnt make it.
The death of Cassie affected Romina, Neil, Bonita and Kristoff. Kristoff couldnt contain himself after knowing about Cassie`s death, while Mikoy tried to calm him down. During a prayer held at Maxwell International School for Cassie, Marga criticizes about her. In the aftermath, Kristoff got into a fight with his classmate. Roxanne stops them both, but Kristoff doesnt need her help, saying that her father was responsible for the death of Cassie.
Leon talked to Roxanne on why she is not changing into her uniform. She then replied to be absent for today. She also told Leon that she was mostly talked about by the students in a group chat of Maxwell because of what Kristoff said to her. Kristoff spotted Neil talking to Romina privately. While eavesdropping, Kristoff heard Neil saying that hes “glad someone`s alive”
Neil then entered a mansion where Romina is residing. While taking about the plan about increasing security guards, a female figure came down the stairs, approaching Romina and Neil. The female figure turned out to be Cassie, alive and well. Romina`s flashback reveals that the Mondragons parked their car behind a building, along with a white van. Romina orders Cassie to get inside the van, as Hector will continue to come after them if none of them died. While inside the van, Cassie convinced Romina`s men to help her for once. So they did, they blocked Hector`s car before driving away, while Hector didnt notice Cassie was inside. The Mondragons stop their car, knowing that “someone” blocked them, giving Romina time to “crash” the car and fake Cassie`s death.
While Romina talked to Cassie about the plan regarding her fake death, a knock suddenly hits the front door. As one of Romina`s men entered the house, it was revealed that Kristoff was responsible for knocking on the door, he then realized that Cassie was the one Neil was talking about. Romina then shared her plan to Kristoff about Cassie`s “death”, promising to keep it a secret. Cassie then thanks Kristoff.
At school, Marga spotted Kristoff acting suspiciously. She, along with Mikoy tried to follow him through a convenient store. Kristoff spotted Marga and Mikoy and managed to lose them by hiding in a shelf before fleeing. As Kristoff entered Cassie`s safehouse, they can see a taxi parked outside with Marga and Mikoy. Kristoff tells Cassie to hide, but forgot her phone in the living room table. Kristoff manages to hide it by placing the phone under his bag on a sofa before opening the front door. Marga checked the entire living room before heading to the second floor hallway. She then checked a bedroom where Cassie was hiding in a closet. As Marga was about to open the closet, she was stopped by a phone call from Savannah about her mother`s failed transfer and condition. Marga and Mikoy leave, giving Cassie and Kristoff a sense of relief.
Marga then returned to Cassie`s safehouse and soon found Cassie thru a window. She then attempted to flee, hoping to expose her. She then hitchhiked a nearby white SUV. Marga was about to thank the driver which, as it turned out, is Romina, preventing Marga from fleeing. Romina then soon kept Marga inside a bedroom. Word soon got out that Neil was kidnapped and Romina soon found out that the news involving Cassie being alive was exposed by Bonita, which also caused Neil`s kidnapping. It soon turns out that Hector held Bonita`s sister hostage, and will free her in exchange for Neil, thus angering Romina as she found out the truth. She later confronted Daniela inside a warehouse where Neil was kept. Meanwhile, Marga begged Cassie to let her go, but soon managed to escape her safehouse. With the help of Kristoff, they attempt to chase her down, only for her to get away. Cassie and Kristoff, however, were soon stopped by an approaching vehicle, in which Bernard stepped out of the vehicle. It turns out that he was called by Romina to keep Cassie safe by moving her to another safehouse.
Meanwhile, Marga called her mother, Daniela, but was soon interrupted by the sudden arrival of Romina. Daniela soon held Romina on gunpoint, revealing all her true colors, stating that she will murder Romina, Neil, and then Cassie, she also revealed that the bomb that exploded and killed Jepoy on an event was meant for Romina, and not Jepoy. Daniela, however, was unaware that Marga was still on the phone, begging for her mother to stop. Daniela then escaped once again. Neil was soon rescued and so is Bonita`s sister.
Marga soon talked to Mikoy in private in Kristoff`s house, not knowing what to do ever since she found out that Cassie was alive and her mother`s words thru the phone. She then vowed to help Cassie and Romina, but pleads her step-grandmother not to kill Daniela. Marga then returned to her mother per Romina`s plan, because she was unable to reveal Daniela`s safehouse location to Romina, she decided to reveal Romina`s location according to her and Marga`s “Plan B”. Their plan, however, immediately went wrong as it was Hector who infiltrated their safehouse. Hector soon took Cassie hostage in exchange of all Romina ‘s money and attempted to shoot Romina, however, he ended up shooting his daughter, Roxanne as she attempted to run past his line of fire.
Romina kills kills Hector. Daniela flees but she later gets bombed. 3 months later, Daniela is jailed for life, however she is on wheel chair, her face was badly burnt. It is over, The Mondragons unite at Cassie, Marga and Roxane’s gratuation at MAXWELL as Daniela remains in jail.
As Robert is presumed dead after an air crash, Daniela and Marga learned that Romina and Cassie will get most of Robert’s wealth and properties since they are his legal family. Alvin and Hector frame Romina for killing her husband Robert in order to retrieve Cassie’s wealth. She is imprisoned. While in prison, Romina is hurt by an inmate, Cindy but she is helped by Pilar, a fellow inmate who helps her shape a braver and fighter attitude. While Romina is in jail, Daniela and Marga physically and verbally hurt Cassie. With the help of Bernard, Romina is then bailed out of jail, who is soon exonerated and declared not guilty from the court.
After Romina is released from prison, Daniela becomes the CEO of Camila Sardines and Carlos opens a car shop with his family. Marga begins to feel lonely as her parents are busy with work, and attempts to commit suicide. She is then saved by Romina who tells her the value of life and love. Kristoff begins to court Cassie and they strengthen their bond and relationship as they work alongside togethter at a diner for Sir “Wacky” Joaquin as a summer job. At Romina’s anniversary, she finds out that Daniela has been making her crazy, so she pretends to have a knife in herself so Daniela would be crazy. Daniela wants Romina gone, so she asks Hector to make a plan. They plans to kill Romina in a car accident. The plan went wrong and hit Romina’s car when Kristoff and Cassie was inside. They both get sent to the hospital, Kristoff had a neck injury and several other ones, and Cassie lost lots of blood and had several injuries too. Romina finds out that she needs to find a AB negative blood donor in 24 hours or else Cassie will die.
Daniela decides to give Cassie blood but in one condition, Romina has to give all of her and Cassie’s inheritance to Daniela. Romina agrees and gets Cassie back but she is poor now. Jude overheard Daniela and Savannah talking about Cassie being Daniela’s real sister and Jude finds out the truth too. Jude runs to Romina to tell her about what he over heard but a crazy man got Marga and treatened to kill her if they didn’t give him the doctor who killed his daughter. Jude gets Marga but gets shot by Hector. Jude gets treated in the hospital.
Unfortunately for the Bartolomes, Jude passed away while he was treated, Hector’s goon inserts poison into Jude’s tubes, he passes away. Romina was later fired by Daniela, while the Camila employees support her by taking off their ID`s. Now the Mondragons are poor, they are trying to live their normal life as usual. Romina, however, stumbled across a man named Leon at a crossroad. Leon follows Romina closely, they gets closer and Leon helps her build her own company, he also helps Romina get back all the property Daniela took from her. However, Leon is hector’s cousin, it is Hector’s plan to help Romina get all her inherited property from Daniela. Hector wanted Daniela to be poor so that he can win her. Cassie on the other hand, tries to continue studying at Maxwell. Meanwhile, Daniela is looking for ways to make Romina`s life harder.
Elsewhere, Hector shots dead Robert Mondragon and dumps him in a dump site.

Former President Jacob Zuma, who was jailed this month and led to South Africa’s worst outbreak of violence in years, was granted compassionate leave to attend the funeral of his younger brother on Thursday.
He was back in prison by the afternoon, the government said.
Zuma, who was in a dark suit and white shirt, was flanked by family members as he walked from his homestead to his brother’s neighbouring property in Nkandla, in KwaZulu-Natal province.
Soldiers patrolled nearby and military and police vehicles were stationed along the road.
Zuma has been incarcerated at Estcourt prison in Kwa-Zulu Natal since handing himself over on July 7 to serve a 15-month sentence for contempt of court.
Zuma was granted compassionate leave as he was considered a short-term, low-risk inmate, the department of correctional services said in a statement. Zuma was not required to wear an offenders’ uniform outside prison walls, it said.
“He was accompanied by correctional officers supported by law enforcement agencies. And we are to confirm that he has returned back to the Estcourt correctional facility as we speak,” cabinet minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni told a news conference on Thursday afternoon.
Zuma, 79, was sentenced last month for defying a constitutional court order to give evidence at an inquiry investigating high-level corruption during his nine years in office until 2018.

While a police report indicated that Kangogo had shot herself from below the chin, some experts find it hard to believe and have found loopholes in crime scene photos shared online.
Criminal advocate Cliff Ombetta insisted that Kangogo did not commit suicide. He argued that the blood spatter would not have been at the front.
“Gun placed in hand (sic) unlike where it would be because of the recoil. Shows she was brought there and left to bleed,” Ombeta opined.
Security consultant George Musamali said that the only way Kangogo’s case would be declared a suicide was if pathologists and ballistic experts confirmed that it was.

Experts questioned whether it was normal for Kangogo to shoot herself and still hold the gun with her hand.
Musumali stated that it was uncommon for victims to kill themselves and still have guns in their arms.
He quoted a report by Texas which found that only 25% of victims who died by suicide were found holding their firearms.

“If you shoot yourself in the head, something will happen to your body. Pathologists should be able to say if she died instantly or not. If she did not die instantly, then how long did she take before she died,” he stated.
The deceased reportedly left a suicide note on a message saved on drafts on her phone.
In the message, Kangogo had requested to be buried in her wedding dress and to be interred at her parents’ home following a fallout with her husband.
Kangogo has been at large since last week when she reportedly killed two men; one a police officer at Nakuru police station and the other a security expert.
